Privacy Policy

Your screenshots never leave your browser. We built Fynshot this way by design — no upload, no cloud processing, no AI vision. All editing and exporting happens locally in your browser using the HTML5 Canvas API.

• Email address — only if you create an account (magic link sign-in). Used to identify your Pro license.
• Purchase status — whether you have a lifetime deal (stored in our database via Supabase).
• Basic analytics — page views and export counts (no image data, no personal identifiers). Used to understand usage patterns.
• AI feature usage — if you opt into AI copy suggestions, the text description you type is sent to our AI provider. No image data is included.

• Your screenshots, images, or any pixel data
• File names (unless you type them)
• Browser history or activity outside Fynshot
• Cookies beyond what is strictly necessary for auth sessions

We store your editor preferences (background type, padding, shadow, etc.) in your browser's localStorage. This never leaves your device and is not synced to any server for free users.

Pro users may optionally sync saved brand styles to our database. This is opt-in and contains only style configuration — no images.

• Supabase — authentication and user database (EU/US hosted). Used only to verify Pro status.
• Stripe — payment processing. We do not store card details; Stripe handles all payment security.
• AI provider — text-only AI suggestions (opt-in). The description text you write is sent; images are never sent.
• Vercel — hosting. Standard access logs (IP, timestamp) are retained per Vercel's policy.

Account data is retained as long as your account is active. You can request deletion at any time by emailing hi@fynshot.com. We will delete all associated data within 30 days.
